ABOUT SAM.
Creativity and producing content has been a passion of mine since I discovered the world of journalism through a high school yearbook course.
Since I began acting on this passion I've been fortunate enough to cover a DIII Men's Volleyball National Championship, help create social culture for a low-rim basketball league where adults make it their life mission to catch a body at the rim, taken the lead on photographing/designing magazine covers and media guides, and tweeted for a MLB team.
All of these experiences I hold very close to me -- each one allowing me to tell a story though a different lens and varying creative profiles.
I am a May 2019 graduate of Springfield College (Mass.) with a B.A. Communications/Sports Journalism and minors in English, marketing, and sports analytics. Throughout my career I have worked with brands consisting such as: Arizona Diamondbacks, University of Rhode Island Football, Fort Hays State University Athletics, Hoffman Landscapes, and Kent Greenhouse & Gardens.
When I'm not staring through a viewfinder or entering the depths of Photoshop, you can usually find me tossing a disc or visiting a local brewery.
I'm looking to continue a multimedia career involving online journalism, photography, videography, and graphic design. Currently, I serve as the Assistant Director of Creative Services in athletics at Southeastern Louisiana University.
On this site, you can find various examples of my work.
